"Understand your financial statements. I have seen dozens of business owners operate their business based on cash in the bank. They do not have a real understanding of whether or how they are making money. If you do not have an excellent bookkeeper/accountant, get one. If you have one, sit down with them and have them explain your financial performance. If they can't explain it, they don't understand it, meaning you should find someone who does.
